Macedonia’s Foreign Minister Nikola Dimitrov headed to Washington for meetings with representatives of the US Administration, Congress and think tank community.
On Tuesday, Dimitrov will address a panel discussion on the future of Macedonia and South-East Europe. The event is organized by the US Atlantic Council.
On Wednesday, upon an invitation of US Secretary of State, Macedonia’s delegation will take part in ministerial meeting of the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS.

Coalition will meet for in-depth discussions on the impending territorial defeat of ISIS in Iraq and Syria, which is the result of four years of Coalition and US partners’ efforts, and a significant milestone towards delivering ISIS an enduring defeat. Ministers will discuss the next phase of the campaign in Iraq and Syria, which will focus on protecting against a resurgence of ISIS through stabilization and security assistance. Ministers will also discuss important next steps in degrading ISIS’s global networks and affiliates outside Iraq and Syria.
